Kathy Kiernan Newcomb has been a licensed Realtor since 1995. She embarked on her real estate career just after her earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Marketing from University of Delaware. She first started in real estate as a rental associate for five years and then moved to the rental bookkeeping position for four years. She entered the sales market in February of 2004 specializing in new construction and new project development and representation.
In November of 2008 she became the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Engagement. Responsibilities in that position included the oversight of all marketing efforts for the firm, management of the financial end of the rental division and assisting with new project development. In 2020 Kathy became the firm's President while still carrying on the responsibilities above as well.
Kathy feels strongly about volunteering in her community. She served as Treasurer and Board Member for the Milton Little League for many years and spearheaded and completed several projects for the League including a renovation of the concession stand and the addition of field lighting for the minor league field. She was instrumental in raising funds for the league through grant writing.
In addition, Kathy currently serves on both the Jason Anderson Foundation for Youth Sports, an organization which funds sports scholarships for youth across the entire State of Delaware, and the Bayhealth Hospital Foundation Board.
In May of 2013 she joined the Board of Community Bank Delaware. She currently serves on the loan committee and is also the chair of the Marketing Committee for the bank.
In 2017 she was awarded the Sussex County Association Good Neighbor award for her philanthropic work in the community.
Kathy resides in Milton with her husband and two children.
